As we enter the primary recruiting season for the 2016 dig, we make avaialbel for download the following items:

We are pleased to announce the fifteenth season of excavations for the team from Concordia Saint Paul at Hippos of the Decapolis.  Excavation will take place from 3-28 July.  Housing will be at Kibbutz Ein Gev.

This season’s work will be divided between two areas. Part of the team will work on the east side of the House of Tyche, finishing a large work and storage facility. The rest of the team will work on the southeast corner of a building to the north of the Northeast Church, in hopes of clarifying its function and relationship to the church compound.

The 2016 season is the final full season of excavation scheduled for the Concordia team.

Equipment has been stored for another year. We have returned to the states, and the jet lag is almost gone.  The time is at hand to say “Farewell” to the 2015 season and to begin to think about 2016.  Details are still coming together.  Watch for more. The report will be published here in November.
