As part of the work of preparing an interim report on the Northeast Insula Project, I am putting more of the data into an online format. The ceramic catalog is now up. It is organized by year and photos are labeled by basket number. We hope at some point to link analysis to photos. See the catalog at https://northeastinsulaeproject.org/albums/ceramics/.
One of the more interesting small finds from 2010 is a crossbow fibula-a pin used to hold together the corner of a garment at the shoulder. Such pins were worn first by soldiers and later by church officials.

One of the goals of my sabbatical in 2010-2011 is to put much more material from the dig on the web. To that end, I am experimenting with a photo gallery.
